HOW DO I KNOW WHAT TO PAY?
TThis is probably the hardest question of all to answer. Everyone’s
budget varies and every wedding book will gives a different answer.
You should set two budgets, one for catering, and one for all other
services. Then list the services that are the most important to
the two of you. Include photography, videography, entertainment,
flowers, dress, invitations and so on. Choose four of these as being
most important to you then get these services from places that will
not cut corners. Be sure that the quality is what you want, even
if the price is a little more than what you want to spend. Subtract
the total you spent on those four most important services and fill
in the rest of the services with what ever is left. Rather than
cutting back in the wrong places this will help you stick to your
budget and will give you high quality in the services that matter
most to you. This is a much better method than assigning a price
to each and every service since if you save on one service you can
use the saved money on another.
